Problem Note 58533: Possible cause for slow SAS® Enterprise Guide® and SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office workspace server connections

If the files oms_serverinfo2.xml and oms_userinfo2.xml are present in %APPDATA%\SAS\MetadataServer\ and invalid credentials are stored (in oms_userinfo2.xml), SAS Enterprise Guide and the SAS Add-in connection to SAS workspace servers will be slow and authentication errors will be present in the SAS® Metadata Server log such as below.
Error authenticating user foo in function LogonUser. Error 1326 (Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password. ).
Note: The oms_serverinfo2.xml and oms_userinfo2.xml files are created by SAS/IML® Studio and the SAS® Integration Technologies Client for Windows.
This issue can also lock out the account defined in the oms_userinfo2.xml file as a second SAS metadata server call is made using the invalid credentials.
To work around this issue, delete the oms_serverinfo2.xml and oms_userinfo2.xml files.
